WINNING SLICE | TERMS & CONDITIONS

Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions, and agreed to be bound by them, when accessing this Promotion.

Who may enter

1. This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man (the “Territory”) aged 16 years or over.

2. Employees (or family members of employees) of any group company of the Promoter, companies associated with the Promotion (including Playable) and all affiliates of such companies may not enter this Promotion.

How to enter

You must have a PizzaExpress Club account and have downloaded the PizzaExpress Club app on your mobile device to participate. To enter:

Dine In:

open between 11:00 25th March 2024 and 23:00 12th April 2024 inclusive (the "Promotional Period")

a) Dine in any PizzaExpress pizzeria in the Territory, check in using the PizzaExpress Club app, pay your bill and earn a Pizzeria Dine In Pizza Stamp;

b) The game will unlock after you have earned your stamp. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for your Pizza Stamp to be allocated and for the game to unlock;

c) Play the game (slicing pizza toppings (mushroom, jalapeño pepper, tomato) which will earn you 10 points and avoiding the pizza slicers which deduct 20 points) and score 250 points within 60 seconds to be in with a chance of winning a prize

d) The game will remain available to play until the closing date if it is not played immediately;

e) Entries are limited to one per calendar day (and only one Pizza Stamp may be earned per 24 hour period)

3. Immediately after playing the game, all entrants to this Promotion will be informed whether they have won.

Allocation of Prizes

4. There are a total of 82,500 prizes available for entrants to potentially win from 7 different types of prize categories (see Prize Categories below).

5. Each prize is selected randomly– and then allocated randomly to a winning minute during the Promotional Period (Winning Moment).

6. Each Winning Moment may have multiple prizes (including one or more prizes from different prize categories (see Prize Categories) allocated to it.

7. An entrant who plays the game during a Winning Moment has the chance of winning one of the prizes which has been randomly allocated to that Winning Moment. Only prizes not already won by other entrants during the relevant Winning Moment are available to be won. This means that, if all prizes allocated to that Winning Moment have already been won, the entrant will not win a prize.

8. Prizes are programmed to be won in descending order of priority based on the prize category number set out below (see Prize Categories). The first entrant to play the game in a Winning Moment will win the highest-ranked prize allocated to that Winning Moment. The second entrant will win the second highest-ranked prize allocated to that Winning Moment, and so on. Some Winning Moments may only have one prize allocated randomly to be won, whilst other Winning Moments may have multiple prizes available to be won. For example: if a Winning Moment has seven prizes randomly allocated to it (one Prize 1, two Prize 3s, one Prize 6 and three Prize 7s) and ten entrants play the game during that Winning Moment, the prizes will be won as follows:

a) The first entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment wins Prize 1

b) The second entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment wins a Prize 3

c) The third entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment also wins a Prize 3

d) The fourth entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment wins a Prize 6

e) The fifth entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment wins a Prize 7

f) The sixth entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment wins also a Prize 7

g) The seventh entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment also wins a Prize 7

h) The eighth, ninth and tenth entrants to play the game during the Winning Moment will not win a prize.

Rollovers

9. If any Winning Moment passes without all the prizes allocated to that Winning Moment being won, the prizes which remain unwon at the end of that Winning Moment will remain available to be won by the next entrant(s) who play the game. For example, if there are a total of 100 prizes randomly allocated to a Winning Moment but only 80 entrants play the game during that Winning Moment, then the remaining 20 prizes from that Winning Moment will continue to be available to be won by the next 20 entrants spinning the wheel.

10. By way of further example: If a Winning Moment has twenty prizes randomly allocated to it (one Prize 2, two Prize 4s, ten Prize 5, five Prize 6s and two Prize 7s), but only twelve entrants play the game during that Winning Moment, the prizes will be won as follows:

a) The first entrant to play the game during the Winning Moment wins a Prize 2

b) The second and third entrants to play the game during the Winning Moment each win a Prize 4

c) The fourth to twelfth entrants to play the game during the Winning Moment each win a Prize 5

d) The remaining un-won prizes (one Prize 5, five Prize 6s and two Prize 7s) stay in the pool of prizes ready to be won by the next entrants to play the game (again, in descending order of priority based on the prize category number).

11. If the next Winning Moment begins prior to all the prizes from the previous Winning Moment being won, the same rules of priority apply – so that higher category prizes will be won before lower category prizes. This is so that the higher category prizes will be won first during a Winning Moment, even where there are prizes in multiple prize categories available to be won (including via a rollover).

While we are keen that as many of the available prizes are won as possible, it may be the case that not all prizes are won by the end of the Promotional Period.

13. Each prize is subject to its own terms and conditions, available below. The specific terms and conditions for the prize that any participant has won will appear in winners’ PizzaExpress Club app, including the reward-specific terms and conditions.

Prize Categories

Prize 1: Classic Pizza Reward (5,000 available)

There are a few dos and don’ts. Check them out in the terms below.

1. Available to redeem Monday to Sunday until 14th April (inclusive), when you dine in one of our pizzerias. You cannot apply this Reward to online Collection or delivery orders.

2. This reward gives you one free Classic Pizza of your choice* (including gluten-free or vegan alternatives). You’ll have to pay a little more for extra toppings, or if you want to upgrade to a Romana base. *Can’t eat gluten or dairy? Ask for our gluten-free and vegan options instead. Please note that our gluten free pizzas are only available on a Classic base.

3. Minimum of £10 spend required. Reward cannot be exchanged for cash.

4. Valid when you dine in pizzeria only. Not valid across takeaway, Collection or for delivery through PizzaExpress Delivers or on platforms such as Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo.

2. This Reward gives you one free portion of Dough Balls ‘PizzaExpress’ (including gluten-free or vegan alternatives). Please note that Dough Balls Doppio or any other Dough Balls dish that might be available on our menu at the time of your visit are not included.

3. Minimum of £10 spend required. Reward cannot be exchanged for cash.

4. Valid when you dine in pizzeria only. Not valid across takeaway, Collection or for delivery through PizzaExpress Delivers or on platforms such as Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo.

4. Valid when you dine in pizzeria only. Not valid across takeaway, Collection or for delivery through PizzaExpress Delivers or on platforms such as Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo.

Prize 4: Boost a Tier (10,000 available)

There are a few dos and don’ts. Check them out in the terms below.

1. Participants who win this prize will automatically be moved up to the next tier in the PizzaExpress Club. For example, if this prize is won by someone whose tier status is Bronze, they will automatically be elevated to the Silver tier and be eligible to redeem Silver rewards.

2. Tier status is valid for 12 months. This means that you can enjoy your new tier status for a year following winning the prize. Following this, your tier status will be set according to how many Pizza Stamps you have earned in the preceding 12 months. So, for example, if you’re in the Silver tier after winning a Tier Boost, but you’ve only completed 2 Pizza Stamps in the last 12 months since the day you reached Silver tier, we will move you to the Bronze tier on the tier anniversary date.

Prize 5: Dessert Reward (11,500 available)

There are a few dos and don’ts. Check them out in the terms below.

1. Available to redeem Monday to Sunday until 14th April (inclusive), when you dine in one of our pizzerias. You cannot apply this Reward to online Collection or delivery orders.

2. This Reward gives you one free Dessert, from the Dessert section on our menu. Please note that sharing desserts, Piccolo desserts and Dolcettis are not included. You’ll have to pay a little more for extras (just ask your waiter for details).

3. Minimum of £10 spend required. Reward cannot be exchanged for cash.

4. Valid when you dine in pizzeria only. Not valid across takeaway, Collection or for delivery through PizzaExpress Delivers or on platforms such as Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo.

3. Minimum of £10 spend required. Reward cannot be exchanged for cash.

Prize 7: Bonus Stamp (25,000 available)

1. Participants who win this prize will automatically receive an additional Pizza Stamp in their PizzaExpress Club account.

2. The Bonus Stamp will be in addition to any Pizza Stamps or Slices that the Participant earns by entering this Promotion.

3. The Bonus Stamp will be treated in the same way as Pizza Stamps that have been earned through normal use of the PizzaExpress Club insofar as they are used to set your tier status within the Club.

Liability

14. There are certain things for which the Promoter does not accept any liability to you, and these are explained in the next two paragraphs. The law does not allow the Promoter to exclude or limit its liability for some things, such as death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or loss caused by a false statement where the statement is made fraudulently by the Promoter. The Promoter accepts full liability for these matters. Otherwise, the exclusions of liability described in paragraphs 17 - 18 will apply. References to the “Promoter” in these paragraphs include all of the Promoter’s associated companies, agents or any other third party involved in the delivery of the Promotion.

15. The Promoter will not be responsible for (and will have no liability in connection with) the following occurrences, to the extent that they occur for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control:

a) any postponement or cancellation of the Promotion;

b) any changes to prize or the way in which it can be used;

c) any problem with the enjoyment of the prizes;

d) any act or default of any third-party supplier.

16. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for network, computer, and hardware or software failure of any kind, which may affect the sending, receipt or processing of your entry.

17. Entries must not be made through agents or third parties. Incomplete entries will be disqualified and will not be included.

18. If the Promoter has grounds to suspect any kind of cheating, deception, fraudulent or unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind (including, without limitation, manipulating the Promotion, choice of any prize or any entry), the Promoter reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to disqualify any entrant, entry or person it reasonably believes to be responsible for, or associated with, such activity.

19. The Promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to provide a prize, or seek its recovery, in the event it has reason to suspect that an entrant has breached these terms or has obtained a prize through fraud, dishonesty or any other inappropriate or improper conduct (such as through abuse of the competition by people which the Promoter has concluded are likely to be proved to be either the Promoter’s employees, a member of an employee’s family, friends or people connected to them.

20. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence or in respect of fraud and insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter (including its associated companies, officers, employees and agents) exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising to entrants or otherwise as a result of the Promotion; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:

a) Any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);

b) Any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference;

c) Any claim or entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; or

d) Any tax liability incurred by Participants.

The Promoter (including its associated companies, officers, employees and agents) shall not be liable for any postponement, cancellation, delay, changes to the Competition or failure to fulfil its obligations where such failure is caused by any supervening event of force majeure, meaning any event(s) outside the reasonable control of the Promoter (including without limitation the act or default of any third party supplier).

Other Terms

21. Any prize won as part of this Promotion must be accepted as granted. No substitutions or cash equivalent payment will be allowed, and no refund or transfer will be permitted.

22. Participants agree to allow the Promoter to use their name for advertising and publicity purposes without additional remuneration during and after this Promotion.

23. Personal information about recipients will only be shared with the Promoter’s competition partners and with the Promoter’s agents to the extent necessary to manage such participation or, where required, to a legal or regulatory body. Participants must provide their personal data in order to enter the Promotion but may choose to opt out of marketing at the point of entry and may unsubscribe at any time. 24. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

25. This Promotion, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it (including the prizes), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. You irrevocably agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this Promotion.
