PizzaExpress is proud to be in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, which has one simple goal: to bring people together so that no-one faces cancer alone. Over the term of the partnership we aim to hold a series of events in PizzaExpress restaurants, helping to provide a comfortable and familiar place for people affected by cancer to share their experiences. Staff members of all levels will be taking on their own personal challenge, ranging from a 10 km run or a five peaks trail. In addition, a discretionary 25p donation from every Padana pizza sold will help Macmillan to provide essential financial, emotional, medical and practical support for people affected by cancer
In addition to Macmillan Cancer Support, we are proud to support the Veneziana fund, which we have an ongoing commitment to support. We do this by donating 25p for every Veneziana pizza (both Classic and Romana) sold. It's one of the UK's oldest charitable commitments and has raised more than £2 million to date, supporting the Venice in Peril fund as well as the restoration, repair and maintenance of UK buildings built before 1750.
We have also partnered with the Children's Food Trust's 'Getting Kids Cooking' project. The aim is to help a generation of young people take their first steps in the kitchen and get educated about food. We support this through our School Visits programme where primary school children can come into the restaurant and learn about basic health and safety in the kitchen, fresh ingredients and how to make a pizza.
