PizzaExpress has always been interested in the people behind the pizzas, whether they’re customers, Club members or staff.

We take great pleasure in welcoming back regular diners who have grown to love our restaurants over the years and gain a great deal from their comments, advice and support, which contribute so much to the running and atmosphere of their local PizzaExpress.

We’re also proud that many of our managers have worked their way up from the rank of plongeur or waiter, gaining a deep and intuitive understanding of the values which make PizzaExpress so special – and allowing them to pass on their knowledge to the customers they serve.

The PizzaExpress schools programme inspires more than 45 000 school children every year to find out more about the pizza on their plate. Our visits have been running since 1998, turning restaurants into classrooms for the next generation of budding pizzaiolos.

We’re also passionate about supporting good causes at home and abroad. Peter’s long-term love of Venice led to the establishment of the Veneziana Fund in 1971. Donations from sales of the Veneziana pizza – which have exceeded £1.7 million over the last thirty years – now contribute to the preservation of the city’s most valuable cultural treasures, as well as similar projects across Britain.

If that wasn’t enough, the long-established PizzaExpress Club makes each of our restaurants a home from home for members. Our generous package of benefits includes quarterly free meals and year round afternoon desserts on the house – the sort of things it’s just nice to do for your friends.
